CMCD Support for Content Providers
Content Management and Control Data (CMCD) is a standard applied by players (for example, Roku) that allows CDNs and Content Providers better visibility into their customer experience.
Qwilt now provides CMCD support to validate CMCD headers or query strings, and include SessionID (sid) in log files.
DSCP Marker Support
A Differentiated Service Code Point (DSCP) is used to classify and manage network traffic. Certain Service Providers need to be able to segregate services streamed over their network to their own devices, from OTT providers.
Qwilt now enables this capability at the Delivery Services level.
Enhancements to TTFB Values
Time to First Byte (TTFB) - for both origin and client - has now been enhanced in log shipping to represent values in milliseconds, or as ‘-' if not relevant.
When either OriginTTFB or TTFB cannot be calculated (for example, when there are no delivered bytes), the field value will show either '-' or null (if the field is numeric).
Known Limitation
- Self-service users will temporarily be unable to “purge” content from the UI and API. “Update” (invalidate) is still available. Users will be presented with an error message if attempting to use the “Purge” operation.
