The HTTP Response Code Over Time graph shows the quantity of transactions per second generating each response code category (2xx, 3xx, 4xx, 5xx) over the selected time period.
- HTTP 2xx - success response codes
- HTTP 3xx - redirect response codes
- HTTP 4xx - client error response codes
- HTTP 5xx - server error response codes
The following graph shows the number of transactions per second that generated the various categories of response codes over the selected time period. The graph displays a line for each response code category. In this example, the green line represents 2xx response codes. The majority of transactions generated success response codes.
By default, each line represents the metric for cache and origin transactions combined.
To view the metric for cache transactions or origin transactions only, select/unselect the relevant checkbox. (Note that this is relevant to ASN and Delegation Target reports only. Origin reports display origin data only).
The following example focuses on origin transactions only. The relative number of 3xx (redirect) messages (the grey line) is higher when we're looking at transactions per second (TPS) from origin only.
Peak transactions are highlighted.
Hover over any point on the graph to view the breakdown of response codes for that time increment (for origin transactions and for cache transactions when both are displayed). The graph increments are determined by the time period selected for the report.
You can choose which code categories to include in the graph. To show/hide the line that represents a particular code category for cache or for origin requests, click its circle at the top of the graph.
