Configure a Single Origin when the content resides on a single origin host, with no failover or load-balancing requirements.
Configure
To configure a single origin:
- Navigate to the Add or Edit Origin dialog as described in Configure a Host or Path Origin.
- In the Add or Edit Origin dialog, select Single Origin.
- Select a protocol.
- Enter the origin hostname.
- Optionally, to override the host header value in requests to the origin, in the Origin Host Header Override field, enter the replacement header value.
Note: When you override the host header for a site that uses the HTTPS protocol, you override both the header and the SNI value. - Optionally, use the Connect Timeout field to set the maximum allowed duration (in milliseconds) for connection with the origin server.
- Optionally, use the Read Timeout field to set the maximum allowed duration (in milliseconds) for content acquisition from the origin.
- Optionally, use the Origin Retries field to enable a specified number of retries if the initial connect or read attempt fails. The retry default is zero.
- Optionally, select an origin authentication method, and then enter the relevant details.
To configure an Amazon S3 bucket as an origin, see Configure an S3 Origin. - Save your changes.
Edit
To edit a single origin configuration, select the Pencil icon or the Edit Origin button.
Delete
To delete the origin configuration, select the More icon and then select Delete.
