Link a Certificate

  • PDF

Article summary

When you upload a certificate through the QC Services user interface, it is automatically linked to the site that is open in the user interface. However, you also have the option to link an already uploaded certificate to a specific site, or you may need to link a different certificate to a particular site.

To associate a certificate with a site:

  1. Navigate to the My Media Sites page and select the site.
  2. Open the Certificates tab.
  3. If a certificate is already associated with the site, unlink it before trying to link a different certificate to the site. If your site is live, the changes won't be activated until you republish, so there is no need to worry about a lack of coverage.
  4. Select Associate Certificates.
The Associate Certificate dialog displays the list of certificates uploaded by users in your organization.
  5. Select the certificate you want from the list, and then select Associate.
The certificate appears in the table on the Certificates page.
  6. If your site is already live, republish the site to activate the linked certificate.

Note: Associating a certificate with a site enables port 443 in addition to port 80.
